AV Technical Policies and Procedures

The Salisbury Center and Wylde Style Productions are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every event and every guest. Wylde Style Productions is the exclusive provider of audiovisual and production services at The Salisbury Center.

Outside AV Vendors

Use of outside AV vendors is permitted only under limited circumstances and must be pre-approved in writing. If approved, the external vendor must formally buy out the in-house AV contract for that event. Additionally, our designated Production Manager must be hired to oversee all technical aspects of the production. The Production Manager will have sole authority to determine which activities or equipment are permitted.

We are pleased to support and coordinate all aspects of production—including audio, lighting, video, scenery, and special effects. Our team is equipped to accommodate events of all sizes, from intimate private functions to large-scale national tours.

Safety & Equipment Policies

For the safety of our guests and staff, any equipment or effects deemed unsafe by Ownership, the Production Manager, General Manager, Lighting Technician, or Sound Technician on duty (collectively referred to as the “Producers”) must be immediately disabled and removed. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Haze or fog machines that compromise visibility

  • Tripods or video equipment obstructing audience areas

  • Improperly grounded or overloaded extension cords

  • Laser effects directed into the audience

Absolutely no pyrotechnics or flame-based effects are permitted under any circumstances.

Rigging and Hanging Items

No equipment, decorations, or lighting may be flown or suspended overhead without prior written permission. If approved, such installations must be performed exclusively by our in-house technical staff.

Audience Experience & Visibility

Any gear or effects that obstruct sight lines or detract from the audience’s enjoyment—as determined by the Producers—must be modified, disabled, or removed. Examples include:

  • Oversized banners blocking visibility

  • Excess personnel or equipment in the audience area

Lighting and Projection

We do not interfere with properly configured incandescent, LED, or video systems. However, if your lighting or projection is highly dynamic, we request advance notice so we can display appropriate signage to inform attendees.

Smoke and Fire Policy

Smoking of any kind—including tobacco, vaping, and stage smoke—is strictly prohibited inside the building. As stated above, fire-based effects and pyrotechnics are not allowed as part of any performance. Cryo products such as CO2 or cold spark items may be allowed with written permission and must be pre-approved.
